The Portsmouth Plan is the principal planning policy document in the city's Local Plan and replaces a large number of policies in the Portsmouth City Local Plan.
It sets out the housing, employment and retail development the city needs to develop to 2027 and where this should be. The plan also sets out what infrastructure will be needed to enable this development to take place, together with how we will continue to protect the city's sensitive historic and natural environments.
